I remember when, years ago, my colleagues and I hosted our yoga teacher in Scottsdale. We chose a Jewish Community Center, and the director asked us not to display murtis (statues) or Hindu iconography. They were so gracious to us, and the request challenged us organizers to create beauty that represented the tradition in all-inclusive ways. We succeeded, and it was delightful- pun not intended.
I'm proud (perhaps sinfully so) that it was a Presbyterian church that was able to offer you hospitality.
